NASW-VA offers social workers quality continuing education programs designed to increase knowledge, improve practice, and establish a professional standard of excellence. NASW members receive discounts on registration fees for all NASW-VA sponsored CE programs.
Every year, NASW-VA is proud to host our Annual Continuing Education Conferece, the largest CE event of the year. The conference is held each year in March, to coincide with Professional Social Work Month, and is designed to meet the education needs specific to Social Workers and other healthcare professionals.

Additional workshops are held across the state throughout the year, including NASW-VA's own LCSW Exam Prep Course, and Clinical Supervision Certification Training. Other workshop topics vary based on current trends and the needs of professionals. Please see our Calendar of Events for a listing of what's coming up!
NASW-VA also oversees a very active continuing education accreditation program, which reviews seminars and workshops offered by outside organizations and approves them for continuing education contact hours for social workers.
NASW-VA has been designated by the VA Board of Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors, as a pre-approved provider of professional continuing education programs for social workers and other mental health professionals.
