NASW News (National newsletter) NASW News began publishing in 1956 and is the official newspaper of the National Association of Social Workers. The News is a primary information vehicle for practitioners, administrators, researchers, faculty, and students, including the association's more than 150,000 members. Its readers also include members of the U.S. Congress, governors, major daily newspapers, international associations of social work, social welfare agencies, libraries, and schools of social work.
Articulate and authoritative, NASW News has won many awards for its quality journalism and scope of coverage. The News keeps readers abreast of current events in social work and related fields. It offers in-depth news and features developments in social work practice, public policy, U.S. legislation and regulations, social research, and NASW programs and events.
Social Work Social Work is the premiere journal of the social work profession. Widely read by practitioners, faculty, and students, it is the official journal of NASW and is provided to all members as a membership benefit. Social Work is dedicated to improving practice and advancing knowledge in social work and social welfare. Its article yield new insights into established practices, evaluate new techniques and research, examine current social problems, and bring serious critical analysis to bear on problems in the profession.
